ValueMax CC2 cover crop mix is a combination of small-seeded cover crops designed to build soil, fix N and hold/cycle nutrients. This mix includes 60% annual ryegrass for biomass and competition against weeds, 20% crimson clover for nitrogen fixation (inoculant recommended), 15% tillage radish for breaking up compacted soils, and 5% rapeseed for quick growth and cover.
Ideal planting window is 40-60 days before avg. first freeze, but it’s ok to plant 20 days on either side of that window. Seed at 15-20 lbs/acre, 1/4-1/2″ deep.Handler’s certificates are found on the Certification & Registration page.
